Steve Welk to return to Kart Racing with Support from eStruxture Data Centers![]() Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin: Steve Welk, the 1995 WKA Midwest Sprint Series 4-Cycle Jr. Sportsman Champion, will make his return to top flight national kart racing after an almost twenty year hiatus. Welk will be supported by eStruxture Data Centers, Canada’s largest data center platform. eStruxture joins Welk after reviewing several proposals from multiple Motorsport properties including Formula 1 and Prehistoric themed ISMA teams. The value and exposure that will be garnered from the karting partnership was too much for eStruxture to pass up. Welk, who was a can’t miss karting talent in the mid 90’s that was absolutely missed, will be competing in the Route 66 and United States Pro Karting Tour rounds at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin in the KA100 Senior division. With a goal of not being embarrassed by kids less than half his age, the bar is set pretty low for this double feature. eStruxture Data Centers will feature prominently on the Franklin Motorsport’s prepped Merlin LM30. Along with branding, eStruxture will be featured in several social media posts to be seen by Steve’s dozens of fans. Todd Coleman, CEO, eStruxture Data Centers, “When we looked at our marketing portfolio we noted a large absence of old mid-pack karting drivers. We searched high and quite low and when Steve’s name came up and we thought, yup, that’ll work.” Steve Welk, semi amateur racing driver “I am super excited to make my return to kart racing with such a top notch sponsor in eStuxture Data Centers. I can’t wait to get back out there and race children who don’t have to work and bones are still made of rubber. I feel like my driving style from back in the day will fit right in with today’s caliber of driver.” Joining the list of sponsor’s will be Franklin Motorsports owned by Welk’s brother-in-law Jamie Sieracki. Both parties deny any nepotism was involved. Styled Aesthetic, the finest graphic design and screen printing company, co-owned by Welk, will also be represented on the Merlin Chassis. ![]() |
